Introduction |
Headache due to Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS) or
Premenstrual Tension (PMT) Headache due to premenstrual syndrome is part of the symptoms related to overstrain neurosis before menstrual period.
Main points of diagnosis: 1. Its characteristics are periodic headache. The headache or migraine usually takes place one to two weeks before menstrual period. Often accompanied are fear, anxiety, worry, bad temper or depression, distending pain in breasts, fullness in abdomen, indigestion, facial edema and etc. that represent the syndrome of stagnancy of liver-qi. Most symptoms disappear as soon as the arrival of menstrual period. A few, however, are rather persistent. 2. No abnormal findings through physical exam.
